Christmas Crossover Starts!
On Monday, we started Christmas crossover. The whole school were separated into 9 groups. 3 groups needed to go to Room 7 to watch a movie because their teacher was away. There were 6 movies to select and the entire group preferred Snow Buddies. I didn't chose it because I've already seen it.

Working On A Charity Box
In Technicraft we were studying on how to make a paper mache. I assume it would be for customers to donate but I reckon we are just learning how to make it. Nobel Pineda told us to make a charity paper mache any shape you like so I decided to make 3D cube.
Jessica did a 3D heart and Saluselo did a cylinder.
I think mine is best because I will add detail to my cube.

Last Week Of School! 😄 😄
It's the last week of school and I am so stoked because I can spend more time going out with my family to restaurants, parks, theaters and shops. I'm so thrilled to see what lies ahead because I might receive something I have wanted for a long time or maybe not. I could either stay home and eat, sleep, drop repeat or I could go outside and play at the park.

😢😢Last Day Of Volleyball😢😢
This was our last session of volleyball. Coach Renee held a tournament, boys vs girls and elimination. We had to select from two choices so the class decided to have a go at everything.
First was elimination, the people in the finals were Mary and Tristan, Tristan won.
After that we had the tournament. 4 groups of 7 students. The most points go to the finals but unfortunately I forgot who were in the finals.
Lastly, it was boys vs girls. The team that won was the girls.

Firstly Jessica, Saluselo and I are the chiefs at Technicraft. We made Butter Chicken. Each chief had a separate job. I was cutting the chicken and onions. Saluselo and Jessica was warming up the frying pan.
Afterwards we add the chicken and onions together to form butter chicken but something was missing. Mrs Tuipolotu forgot to add sauce.
Then we added rice to the chicken for our final touch

Thank You Letter To Jess and Farewell 😢
Dear Jess,
We would like to thank you for performing us new dance moves. It was awesome meeting a professional dancer.
Is there any chance of you meeting us again in the future?
We had a lot of fun working together, playing together and having fun together. We hope to see you next time.
Lots of Thanks,
Robati

A Powhiri Last Monday!
Last week Monday was a Powhiri in the Multi-Purpose.
Riiana was singing something in Maori, which I didn't understand.
It was entertaining at the Powhiri. What I saw is the prefects welcoming the teachers inside while another one talks about something.
Afterwards the teachers gave a Hongi. If you don't know what a hongi is, a hongi is a Maori greeting when two people press their noses against each other.

Hip Hop Groups!
On Friday our hip hop dance instructor, Jess, announced that we had to be divided into five groups of 6. Unfortunately, I wasn't there before they set up the groups so instead they positioned me into a group.
Tyra, Peni, Leanah, Sosiua, Malia and I were hip hop buddies. Leanah was our director so she informed us on what to do.
We bowed to say goodbye to Jess!

Cooking Pasta With Mince!
On Wednesday, I attended cooking on Week 2. I thought we were cooking Muffins but instead we were cooking Pasta with Mince. Before we started cooking, Mrs Tuipolotu announced us to 3 simple rules.
1. Follow the instructions on the board.
2. How to read the ingredients right
3. How to measure the ingredients correctly.
Afterwards we had to follow the recipe on the board.
Step 1 - boil Pasta with 2 cups of cold water until soft. Drain under cold water using colander.
Step 2 - Dice onion small and fry it until soft.
- Add the mince and fry until it is cooked.
-Add sauce, spices, add pasta, cheese and bake for ten minutes.
Step 3 which I don't like is clean up.
Then finally it was time to go. This is how my Pasta with Mince looked like!
Delicious!

Hip Hop With JJ! 🏃
On Tuesday the whole class were at the Multi-Purpose Room. We met coach Jess but we call her Jj for short. We studied quite a lot of moves. Hype is one of my favourite moves because it is from one of my favourite games, Fortnite Battle Royal.
Afterwards we played musical statues. The aim of the game is when the music stops, you freeze like a statue However when the music starts, you keep dancing until it stops.
It was time to go back to class we said "bye" to Jj.

📖Selecting Our Duffy Books!📖
Each student in our class had to select 3 different types of books that they were most interested in. The mystical book I prefer is Thor Ragnarok, which was later turned into an entertaining movie in 2017. However there were two books that I adore and they were "Zombie Swamp," a Minecraft story and "Goosebumps Night Of The Living Dummy 3." My favourite genres are horror and action books and I chose these.

England Defeating New Zealand! ☹️
One News
In the Commonwealth Games New Zealand vs England at netball. It was very amusing to see the New Zealand team work together. Unfortunately the New Zealand team lost to England by hardcore and maybe skills!
The points from England are 54 out of 45 from New Zealand.
In the end, New Zealand had a fair game with England and shook hands.

🚲New Zealand Wins Gold For Bike Riding!🚲
One News
The New Zealand Team finished first with a time of 42.877 seconds in Brisbane.
Three New Zealanders were against 3 England opponents. Each player played equal with each other.
First of all the New Zealanders won 2 Silvers and 1 Gold Medal in Cycle. Luckily the gold medal was from the first player who put an enormous effort into conquering England!

Ko Au Te Awa
On Thursday the class went to the River Talks. I was so confused about what we were doing since we arrived there.
When I came I saw a man inside the creek talking Maori. Afterwards we talked about how to keep our river clean. There's a lot of pollution in our river. We decided we should not throw rubbish out our car windows and keep our rubbish inside our pocket.
Afterwards my favourite show was a man drumming all sorts of beats. It was so thrilling we got to dance to the beat. Unfortunately I was so nervous to join in.

Working With Metal!
On Wednesday the year 8's and Saint Pius attended Mr Grundy's Woodwork Workshop.
I had to trace my drawing with a pencil and insert it into a piece of wood. Later on Mr Grundy showed us his deadly machine. It was so fierce the blade was moving fifty times per second! Luckily, the teacher has a key to it on and off.
My design was a cross. It has sharp edges. Mr Grundy had to be careful with my design. He boiled some special metal called pewter and poured the liquid into the gaps in the piece of wood.

Syndicate Assembly!
On Monday it was Room 10's Syndicate Assembly. Room 10 was our host and the seniors were the audience. The highlight of the assembly was Rooms 10 and 12 dance battle! Pupuke and Peni versus Alimoni and Kaimani. They were so fantastic but what strikes me is Pupuke putting his enormous effort to win! Unfortunately Peni was too afraid to dance!

Who Am I?
Who Am I?
My name is Robati. I am a senior student at Ruapotaka School. I was born in the Cook Islands but raised in New Zealand. I once lived in Hamilton with a caregiver but I journeyed to Australia to live with my father! Afterwards I had to relocate to Auckland, New Zealand to meet up with my grandparents.
